Louise Chaplin

Louise is a 3rd year student at the University of Maine Orono, studying Ecology & Environmental Science with a concentration in Sustainability, Environmental Policy and Natural Resource Management, and a minor in Economics. Louise grew up on Little Cranberry Island, Maine, before moving to Mount Desert Island in middle school. Growing up surrounded by nature gave her a love for the environment, which led her to become involved in youth climate activism. Now in college, Louise hopes to educate others, uplift the voices of those impacted by climate injustices, and protect Maine’s incredible natural environment. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, canoeing, cooking, and watching movies.
